The HKU Economics and Finance Postgraduates Association (HKUEFPA) is a not-for-profit organisation of economics and finance postgraduate students and alumni of The University of Hong Kong. The HKUEFPA evolved from its predecessor, the HKU Economics and Finance Postgraduates Committee (the Committee), which was formed in January 2008 by twelve enthusiastic students and alumni from the Master of Finance and Master of Economics programs. With strong support from the School of Economics and Finance, the Committee organised various career and industry talks, seminars as well as outdoor activities in the following months. It restructured and expanded to fifteen members in September 2008. To ensure the long-term development of the organisation and to enhance the transparency of its operations, the Committee was transformed into an association and officially incorporated as HKU Economics and Finance Postgraduates Association Ltd, a company limited by guarantee, on 21 November 2008. HKUEFPA welcomes membership from economics and finance postgraduate students and alumni of the University of Hong Kong. Working closely with the School of Economics and Finance and the Faculty of Business and Economics, our goals are to promote the welfare of our members and the continuous development of economics and finance studies at the University of Hong Kong.
