Amy-Louise treats individuals dealing with a wide range of issues from: depression, anxiety, stress, bullying, self esteem, confidence, emotional regulation difficulties and organisation problems. Amy-Louise works from a humanistic basis, embracing the core concepts of unconditional positive regard, empathy and authenticity, using these skills to develop a strong rapport with the clients she treats. Amy-Louise has integrated her cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) training into her approach. Prior to her counselling training Amy-Louise worked as a Native English Teacher for 5 years in over 30 different schools in Hong Kong, specialising in drama. Amy-Louise uses the extensive knowledge she has gained from drama to support teens in expressing themselves and exploring their identity and self-worth. Amy-Louise currently works as a school counsellor for International College Hong Kong (ICHK), in addition to private practice in Central. Amy-Louise is a member of the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (HKPCA) and the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP.
