Calvary Church is Full Gospel and Charismatic in both doctrine and practice, an English-speaking international church, and is affiliated with Praise Chapel of California. Calvary Church was pioneered in February 1989 by Pastors John & Pam McGovern through street outreaches and a lot of hard work. In September 2004, Pastors John & Pam McGovern appointed and installed Pastors John & Valerie Malcolm as the lead pastors of Calvary Church Hong Kong. Calvary Church is multi-national, multi-cultural, family of believers in Jesus Christ and we are dedicated to the mission of: winning the lost, discipleship through training, equipping and planting churches and workers into all nations in our generation. God has richly blessed us, and currently membership is diverse, over 20 nationalities and counting! At least 50 more have passed through our doors at one time or another. (And hopefully, been blessed in the process!). Through church planting, Calvary Church Hong Kong grew from one church in Hong Kong to a fellowship of churches in Hong Kong as well as in United Kingdom, Philippines, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China.
